What I offer

I offer customized editing on personal essays, book-length nonfiction projects, and poems (manuscript and individual), both in the form of line editing and more generalized or stylistic work. I also offer custom coaching sessions on putting together a book manuscript, publication opportunities, and the pursuit of writing careers and community. 

How it works

I hold a limited number of slots for live meetings in person in the Bay Area or via Skype. In addition to in the place of live meetings and if it suits the work better, I'm happy to work only as an editor with no live time. We work together to figure out what combination of live meetings and static editing is best for you, and what kind of feedback will serve your work best.

Rates

I offer my work as a coach and hands-on editor on a sliding scale from $150-200 an hour. These rates are typically for writers looking for more hands-on editing and coaching. I also offer per/page rates ($20-$50/page) for more straightforward content editing. At the moment I do not have any remaining availability for copyediting, grant-writing, or proofreading.

I charge a sliding scale because I dream of a day without scarcity and greed. As Silvia Federici writes: "I am interested in building a society in which creativity is a mass condition and not a gift reserved to the happy few," and as a working artist, I charge these rates to sustain myself.
