Consulting
What I offer
Grant-writing, editing and artist statement generation: I’m a lifelong writer and teacher of writing, and I bring structure, efficiency and context to any description of your work. I love helping artists get to the heart of why their work is important, and I am thorough and gentle in guiding writing toward what the audience needs to hear.
Funding and project opportunities: I maintain a database of funding opportunities for cultural creatives and encourage my clients to explore new ways of supporting their work. I also connect my clients to calls for artists, teaching artists RFPs, and new ways of bringing art into community.
Project management and strategic planning: I have provided project management and strategic planning for artist collectives, meditation retreats, activist organizations, workshops, tech start ups, and more -- and I love bringing structure to radical, nebulous and experimental creative work that allows that work to take shape and to be witnessed by audiences, readers and funders.
Facilitation and event planning: Because I'm experienced in both planning and facilitating immersive experiences, I offer wraparound consulting to support events at all steps of the process from initial brainstorm to debrief. I'm available to bring empathic facilitation, intuitive discussion questions, strategic thinking, logistics management, and the creative arts to all manner of events including staff retreats and leadership trainings. I'm especially skilled at helping organizations and teams integrate mindfulness, creativity and social justice into meeting processes, event design, and visioning.
Creative community and collaborators: I am a natural node for a wide range of networks: Because I have experience with nonprofit, literary, academic and socially-engaged arts worlds, I am able to extend my interdisciplinary connections to the makers I consult for. I connect my clients to people and opportunities across artistic, entrepreneurial and academic contexts, and am skilled at placing creative projects in larger artistic, political and social worlds.
